No advertising trackers, no data sold or shared with advertisers, and nothing here asks you to accept a cookie banner. This page describes what is actually recorded.
Visits to this site
Visitor numbers are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify anyone. It reports totals: how many pages were viewed, which ones, roughly where in the world visitors were, and how fast pages loaded.
The site also keeps its own count of page views by town and state, so I can see how many visitors are within reach of the training room in Petaling Jaya. Each page tells the class portal it was viewed; Cloudflare, which carries that request, estimates the town and state from the internet connection, and the portal adds one to that day’s total for that page and place. Only the totals are kept: no IP address, no cookie, nothing that identifies you.
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes each request in order to serve it, as any web host does.
The campaign cookie
One cookie is set, named ag_ft, and it lasts up to 400 days. It records four
things about your first visit and never overwrites them:
- the campaign code in the link you arrived on, if there was one
- the page address you came from
- the first page you landed on
- the date and time
It exists so I can tell which posts bring people who go on to attend something. It
holds no name, no email and no advertising identifier, it is read only by this site
and the class portal at learn.alangoh.com, and it is not shared with anyone.
Clearing your browser’s cookies for this site removes it.
If you register for a class
Registration and check-in happen on the class portal at learn.alangoh.com. What
you type there — your name, email, mobile number and company, and where your team
is based and how you heard about the class if you choose to say — is stored so
that your place can be held, your attendance recorded, your certificate issued, the
handouts made available to you, and so we know which invitations reach people. The
tag on the link you registered from, if it had one, is saved with your registration.
Three things are worth stating precisely:
- Your IP address is not stored. When you check in or download a handout, it is kept only as a one-way scrambled value that cannot be turned back into an address. The identification string your browser sends is recorded alongside it.
- The campaign cookie is saved with your registration, so the four values above become part of that record.
- A certificate verification page is public to whoever holds its link. The link carries a long random code, so it cannot be guessed, and only the certificate holder and whoever they show it to can open it.
The starting-point tool
When you use the starting-point tool, we look up public information about the company name you enter, such as what the business does and where it is based, to suggest where AI could help. We keep what you entered, what we found and the choices you made, so that Alan can follow up if you message him. We don’t use it to contact you otherwise, and we don’t share it. We keep it for 12 months, then delete it. To have your record deleted sooner, message Alan on WhatsApp or email [email protected] with your reference code. If you ask us to email you the result, we keep your email address to send it. We only contact you again if you tick the box to allow it. If you share your result, anyone with the link can see it, without your email or your answers about AI use. Shared links stop working after 90 days.
Nobody is added to a mailing list from this website. If you receive email about a class, it is because you registered for that class.
Asking for your record
Email [email protected] to see what is held about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Attendance and certificate records for training that has already been delivered are kept, because a certificate has to remain verifiable — everything else can go.
